Porsche 928SE ~ 1988-1988

While continental Europe and the USA were offered the lightweight 928 Clubsport, Porsche Cars Great Britains boss Peter Bulbeck asked for something a bit different for the UK market.

The result was the 928SE (for Special Equipment). This combined the mechanical improvements of the Clubsports engine and suspension with the refinement of the standard S4.

In other words, the SE retained much of the standard cars soundproofing and equipment, so it was less of an extreme racing machine. However, it did have manually-operated sports seats and lacked a sunroof.
