Volume One covers the rear-engined cars and their racing derivatives; volume two is devoted to mid- and front-engined cars; volume three focuses on Porsche race only cars. Whilst not as comprehensive as Excellence Was Expected, this is nevertheless a desirable addition to the Porsche enthusiast's library. Author Leffingwell's books are well known for their lavish illustrations and this volume celebrating Porsche's 60th anniversary continues that trend. There are plenty of studio-style, posed colour studies plus period factory, publicity, and racing shots to show you exactly how this great family of sports cars has evolved. |
